 Front of House Server

Position Summary

Servers are the face of the Front of House team. They are responsible for providing exceptional yet efficient breakfast, lunch and dinner service to the members of the Wakonda Club in accordance with Wakonda Club policies, procedures, and standards. To promote complete member and guest satisfaction by using all tools of their personality, service knowledge, and Wakonda Club offerings.

Job Duties include but not limited to:

- Represent the Club at all times—display a consistent positive attitude with the membership and all staff. Assists other staff associates, members, and guests on the phone and in person.

- Adhere to a timeline and level of service for each table to ensure you are providing effective and efficient service that is consistent to the Wakonda Club service standards during breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.  

- Basic Service Guidelines – All table service will be conducted in a friendly, responsive, and professional manner. All food and beverage items will be presented using proper service etiquette at all times.

- Have an understanding of beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

- Have a working knowledge of the current menu items to help answer any questions members might have.

- Able to communicate with all levels of management and work well with a team to provide the common goal of member satisfaction.

- Follow proper food handling when setting tables, delivering items, completing sidework, etc.

- Proper charging of items and billing according to Wakonda Club accounting policies and procedures as they relate to food and beverage. Individual departmental policies and procedures will also be maintained.

General Support Tasks

-Help banquet service staff during events, as necessary, depending on staffing needs.

-Assist other servers and team members to ensure projects are getting done and/or members are having the best experience possible.

Reports to

-Clubhouse Manager, Assistant Clubhouse Managers

Coordinates with

- Kitchen Management Staff, Director of Events, General Manager, Director of Membership, and Golf Shop Leadership

Rate of Pay: $14 - 16/Hour
